Alberto Polimeni is of Counsel with Barakat + Bossa and serves as the Director of the Italian practice group. Alberto's previous experience at a National Business law firm, coupled with Moris & Associates's agility and recognized leadership within the Business law arena, creates a unique synergy between big law experience and tailored legal services.
Alberto assists foreign entities and individuals in successfully establishing a business in the US, as well as domestic clients in the area of corporate, business, and employment law.
Born in Italy, Alberto’s experience of living and working in Rome, coupled with his native fluency in the Italian language, make him the perfect conduit to working with both international entities in South Florida and Italian business owners, on matters that require a unique cultural sensibility and an understanding of the international business clientele.
Prior to joining the firm, Alberto was a Partner at a National Business law firm where he was the Director of the Italian and International practice group and of the Immigration and Nationality group. Alberto focused on advising several businesses regarding corporate, transactional and immigration matters, both nationally and internationally. Alberto also worked as a Staff Attorney for an independent insurance agency advising the company on corporate and employee documents.
In 2012, Alberto earned his law degree from Roma Tre University of Rome, Italy. He then went on to earn a Juris Doctor degree from Nova Southeastern University, Shepard Broad Law Center through a dual degree program between the two law schools. He was one out of three students to be awarded admission into the dual degree program, which provides a full scholarship to the recipients. While at Nova, Alberto was awarded the CALI Book Award in recognition of receiving the highest score in Trial Advocacy, as well as the Dean’s Certificate of Professionalism. He served as President of the Italian American Law Student Association and Co-President of the Association of Business Law Students. He also earned a spot on the Dean’s List and on The Order of Barristers, a national advocacy honor society.
Alberto is fluent in Italian, English, and Spanish. He is also conversational in French.
