Mr. Barakat brings extensive litigation experience, which he gained both as a criminal prosecutor, and as a member of one of the finest commercial litigation firms in Miami. During his tenure with the State Attorney’s Office for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit, Mr. Barakat developed detailed knowledge of complex white collar and computer crimes.

Mr. Barakat’s experience in Commercial Litigation includes the full gambit of cases from complex class actions to small business disputes. He is also a sought after speaker that has lectured on the topics of Computer Crime, Identity Theft, Credit Card Fraud, and the Law of Digital Photography.

Mr. Barakat’s publications include: The Authentication of Digital Photographs Under the “Pictorial Testimony” Theory in the Florida Bar Journal, July/August, 2004.
