Ms. Valeria Angelucci is an Attorney with Barakat + Bossa. Valeria focuses on international corporate work for U.S. and foreign clients and commercial litigation with a particular focus in international law. Prior to joining the firm, Valeria worked as an Attorney for a Broward firm where she gained experience in civil litigation, bankruptcy and business transactions, and acted as corporate counsel for a large multinational company with offices throughout the US and Central America, advising it on transactional, employment, immigration and litigation issues.
A native of Italy, Valeria is knowledgeable in both the American and European legal systems, as she earned her first law degree in 2013 from Roma Tre University, and her second JD Magna cum laude from Nova Southeastern University in 2015. While in law school in Italy, Valeria was selected to represent Roma Tre in the Jessup International Law Moot Court (National Rounds in Milan, Italy and International Rounds in Washington DC). She was then awarded admission to the dual degree program which provided her with a full scholarship to continue her studies at Nova Southeastern University. While at NSU, Valeria was an active member of all the oral advocacy honor organizations, and a junior editor of the Journal on International and Comparative Law, and was again selected to represent her law school – this time NSU - in the Jessup International Law Moot Court (quarter finalist in the Chicago Regional Rounds). She was also awarded the Order of Barristers, a national honorary organization limited to graduating law students who demonstrate exceptional skill in trial advocacy, oral advocacy, and brief writing.
Valeria is fluent in Italian, English and Spanish, proficient in French and has working knowledge of Portuguese. She is admitted to practice in Florida, the District of Columbia and the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Valeria is a fellow of the Florida Bar Business Law Section Diversity Fellowship, and a member of the International Law Section of the Florida Bar.
